Central Victoria, which encompasses Heathcote, Nagambie, Bendigo
and Strathbogie, is the home of Terra Felix. The soil and climate
closely align to the environment of Northern Rhône. So, not
surprisingly many of the varieties found in Central Victoria have
their origin in the Rhône District.
Varieties such as Shiraz, Mourvedre,Viognier, Marsanne and
Roussanne all flourish in this area. We have called our wines Terra
Felix which is Latin for ‘Lucky Country’.
Our Winemaker, Terry Barnett, takes the classic varieties from
The best wine growing regions in Europe and applies his free
expression to create a whole new way of thinking about the wines he
produces. His sole objective is to make wines that capture the
natural flavours of the grapes from the ‘Lucky Country’.
The Region.
Terra Felix is made from grapes that come from selected cool
climate vineyards throughout the Central Victorian Region. This

including Heathcote, Nagambie, Bendigo and Strathbogie.
The Climate.
Central Victoria encompasses a number of micro climates in its
